Senior Backend Engineer / Node-Typescript-AWS

What would you do?

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of the backend microservices behind Torre de Control, Instaleap’s operational visibility platform for all of its clients, with close support from a Tech Lead and an Engineering Manager.

• Lead the technical and product definition of new features: analyze the problem, challenge the scope, propose the solution, and take responsibility for the outcome.

• Work closely with product, frontend, and QA to build features end-to-end with full business context.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers, and take part in code reviews and architecture decisions.

• Handle technical support and incident resolution for your services, including participation in the team’s on-call rotation.

• Close security vulnerabilities and improve the performance, scalability, and architecture of our services.

🙌 Your experience has been shaped by

• 5+ years of backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript as your main stack.

• Recent experience at startups or product scale-ups, in environments where the day can change and you balance roadmap, support, and incidents.

• Product experience: you’ve helped define what gets built and why, not just how it gets implemented.

• Real ownership of production microservices: you didn’t just write code, you understood the system and responded when something went wrong, including on-call rotations.

• Production experience with AWS (for example SQS, Lambda, ECS, or DynamoDB).

• Integration of messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or SQS.

• Experience mentoring or guiding mid-level and junior engineers.

• Command of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar), with the judgment to choose the right one for each case.

• Strong engineering principles: design patterns, unit and integration testing, SOLID, and clean code.

• English proficiency at B2-C1 level minimum.
